# gay bar owner bans bachelorette parties until gay marriage is legal

The thing that really grinds my gears is when idiot bachelor party people drag the bachelor to the Village, sometimes in very bad drag or with, like, a dildo stuck down his pants or something, explicitly for the purposes of the ritual hazing. “Oh my god, I know how we can really embarrass him! Let’s… go where there’s gay people!” Yeah, fuck that. It really leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

My personal feeling on the topic is that it would only be tacky if you don’t actually believe in SSM yourself but still go to a gay bar for your bachelorette party. But I’m on the fence enough that while I wouldn’t _agree_ with an owner who disallowed them, I’d fully _understand_ if someone wanted to change their policy to disallow these.
