Have to say that boobs for me run the gamut from uninteresting to grotesque (huge fake ones). In fact, if you’re interested, there isn’t much about any woman’s body that gives me a thrill, other than (very occasionally) the face. Among all my female friends, I have never ever been tempted to do the pseudo-slap and tickle that Jack and Karen indulge in.

Just my sense, my gay friends are pretty staid and I think they probably feel the same way. The fashion designer thinks of women’s bodies architecturally; the hairdresser thinks of them aesthetically (jeez, what a stereotyped group!). None of us is remotely bi-sexual, I guess.

> .

This straight guy is going to tell you that this “awe-inspiring” and “mesmerizing” effect isn’t universal amongst us. I appreciate pretty boobs more than ugly ones, of course, but there’s no way I’m mesmerized. Pamela Anderson’s cleevage doesn’t impress me more than Kate Moss’. I’m sure both sets are equally pretty. A female face or general body shape has much more appeal to me than boobs, and asked after I met an attractive woman I probably wouldn’t be able to tell you anything about her boob’s size.

Given that your statement isn’t even true for all straight men, why would you assume it would be for gay men who have even less of a reason to be interested in female cleevage? You seem to assume an universal and unique attraction to boobs that just doesn’t exist.

As a previous poster mentionned, I suspect this chestomania, though certainly common amongst men everywhere seems to be much more prevalent in the USA than in the very similar Europe. So, if mere cultural differences are significant, I would assume sexual orientation makes the issue mostly irrelevant.

Seems to vary according to the guy. One of my gay friends loved, I mean _LOOOOOVED_, to grope women’s chests. The gay thing along with being one of the most forward people I’ve ever met enabled him to get his hands on some breasts that were so mouth-watering that it made me almost cry with envy. Some of my other gay friends don’t care about boobs at all, a few of them had some interest.

So do well-developed chestoid muscles in the male have any special place in the Gay Male aesthetic? How about by straight women? Are well-roided ta-tas especially noted in the Lesbian Community?

Do only straight men stare at people’s chests?

I’m not sure this is exactly what the OP is talking about. I mean, I enjoy ogling women of many different shapes and sizes. But, even with a woman I don’t find particularly attractive, when I’m standing eight inches away innocently talking about the last TPS report, if she’s got something low cut on, there’s a powerful urge not to look directly in her eyes.

> Sorry ladies your chesticles don’t do a thing for me. I have learned, however, that bras can make a pretty good sling in a pinch. Man that rock flew! Where did I learn such a thing you ask? One of my lesbian buddies showed me. So, boobs, nothing exciting for me. Bras? Dang fine slingshots! 😃

When I first read that, I thought, now how could the logistics on that possible work? Then I realized, oh! that kind of _sling_! :smack:
My initial response to this question was, “what part of _gay_ are you unclear on”? Then I remembered a certain Paraguayan guy I once dated who had a bizarre infatuation with boobs. For me, nothing. The only boobs I’ve ever been mesmerized by belonged to a certain New York figure named **Amanda Lepore** , and if you’ve ever seen her you’ll understand why.

This reminds me of a fun story about my former roommate.

She is SUPER pale, and has big round boobies (natural).

One night she came out of her bedroom wearing an uber-low cut top, with a necklace that had a big arrow shape pointing down at the clevage. She asked if she looked ok.

I said she looked great, but if she came home complaining that all the guys at the club were talking to her chest, I was going to punch her in the nose.

Honestly - I couldn’t tear my eyes away. It was riviting - mounds of smooth white flesh - it was like a pillow - I just wanted to lay my head on them and have a nap.

I find human bodies pleasing to look at, both male and female. I don’t find boobies particularly sexy or arousing; but I don’t recoil or avert my eyes from them either.

Another straight male echoing this. Boobies are fun playthings when you’re involved with them, but at that point, the size doesn’t make a lot of difference to me. Sure, I can notice and look at a big round pair, but honestly, I think big-uns look best either in a nice tight sweater, or showing just enough cleavage so you know they’re there. Not necessarily when they’re all hanging in your face.

Bisexual female here. (I almost said straight, heaven only knows why.)
I don’t find boobies any more sexually or visually appealing than any other part of a woman’s body, but I have noticed my eyes tending to gravitate towards them without my input. It’s odd, and slightly unsettling when I’m having a conversation with someone and I keep having to redirect my attention away from her chest… and every time my mind wanders a bit, _swish!_ The eyes are back in the boobie groove.

A brief, unscientific survey of my gay male friends who like muscles appears to suggest that the abdominals and biceps are more important than the pectorals, but also that overall impression is more important than the individual components.

There _is_ one area of the male anatomy that gay men might be said to focus on… 😉
