Thanks to the trafficking of immigrants into the sex trade in Britain leading to a bit of a glut on the market (so to speak) that’s kind of happened, in London at least. Well, I say thanks, what I mean is this reprehensible modern form of slavery has had a positive market effect on the price of sex. ---

I think the fact it’s a public _toilet_ is somewhat irrelevant. But where else can you go to have anonymous sex which provides some degree of shelter, security, privacy and also gives you a plausible excuse for being there in case you run into someone who knows you or the cops show up? In the current day, they’ve simply become an institution. Some people go there for the anonymity, some people go there because they know it’s where the action is. I know gays guys who are completely out of the closet and comfortable with their sexuality who love to hit the bathrooms because it’s an easy way to have sex with horny straight guys who occasionally have sex with men. ---

[anecdotal] Some gay friends of mine inform me that some other gay people they know think that being gay has become too mainstream: sit coms, reality shows, gay marriages - too much Birdcage and Will&Grace and not enough underground clubs. They want it to be dangerous, dirty and subversive. [/] Maybe I know too many gay guys who want to cuddle with a steady boyfriend on the sofa, eat pop corn and watch Veronica Mars, instead of sneaking into public restroom and getting glory holed. restrooms. Or maybe it’s just a Euro thing. ---

[/QUOTE] I don’t know all that much about glory holes, but I do know some things about making holes, and the best all around way to make a round hole is a [hole saw](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hole_saw). Now, barring accessibility of tools, and assuming most stall walls are made out of particle board or a similar material, a hole can basically be carved out with any hard metal object. ---
