# Gay pride nutcracker doll

Can be ordered from Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Kohl’s.
There is a Wondershop brand and a Kurt S. Adler brand.
Am I going to Hell for checking to see if the mouth works?
(It does. The tall version of each doll has a lever in the back, indicating a functional jaw mechanism.)
Should I invest in an asbestos-lined coffin?

It’s just a standard nutcracker with a pride flag.
A couple we know invited us to their home last xmas to see their nutcracker collection. Now, there are a variety of cool little nutcrackers that use pistons/levers/screws to crack nuts. I figured this couple collected nutcrackers like that.
I was shocked speechless when we entered their home. He inherited his parent’s nutcracker collection a few years ago and has added a few dozen to the \>1,000 his parents had accumulated. They are all standard design but vary in size, dress, and details.
They were on display throughout the house, on tables and risers. A few human sized pieces were standing on the floor. At the end of January they are lovingly wrapped and boxed, then stored in the garage along with the tables, risers, tablecloths, and other accessories. Their cars are parked in the driveway year round to accommodate their “hobby”.

After I first moved to Germany, that first Christmas I bought a wooden incense-burning figure for my mom as a… I dunno, a weird tchotchke. But she liked it, or said she did, so I kept getting more for her. And a couple nutcrackers. That’s either how this starts, or it’s how “[I never understood the owls](https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/nqkh7n/comment/h0d1yh2/)” starts. Either/or.

A hard yes:
Catechism of the Catholic Church #2352:
“The deliberate use of the sexual faculty, for whatever reason, outside of marriage is essentially contrary to its purpose.”
Therefore, nutcrackers are _only_ to be used by mommies and daddies who love each other, when daddy deserves one of his “special sessions.”
