# Gazelle from Hell - In New Orleans! Dopefest?

I just found out that I’m going to New Orleans for a work-related conference - I’ll be there from October 22 -24, right in the middle of the week.
Any Louisianans wanna share some jambalaya, crawdaddies and zydeco music with me? Can we do a mini-Dopefest?

Actually, I am very interested, but I am pretty sure I am working extra shifts those nights. I live about 1 hour 15 min north of N.O. and the rain wasn’t that bad. Really dreary for the last 2 days, and I was at the hospital Wednesday night and we did lose power and had to run on back up. It was really windy. The flooding and rapid rainfall was the worst. Andrew was the worst I ever experienced, because 5 trees fell in our yard. We were trapped in our own driveway!!! Ok, sorry to ramble. If my schedule changes, I’ll repost. N.O. residents should be back to normal by the middle of next week, so maybe you’ll get some hits.

Hopefully y’all will be out of the worst of this storm (sheesh, and the next) by the time I get down there… Looks like we have some “mandatory fun” (as my husband calls it) on Tuesday night, but I’m free and clear on the night of the 23rd. Sorry to have such a small window of opportunity… I’ll post again once we get closer.
