# Gazoo vs. the Great Gazoo

I just noticed that someone named **the Great Gazoo** is posting here on the boards. Is this:

a. the great-grandparent of longtime Doper and NFL Prognosticator **Gazoo**?

b. a new and improved Gazoo?

c. a Gazoo wannabe/knockoff, only better?

d. a fat Gazoo?

…and, since it is such a popular name, just what the heck _is_ a “gazoo” anyway?

[Gazoo](http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/FLINTSTONES/games/gazoo/) was a character from the Flintstones. They sometimes referred to him as the Great Gazoo. He was a little alien creature (see the link) and would help them when they did something stupid. Only Fred and Barney could see him. He referred to them as the “dumb dumbs”. IIRC he had to help them as some sort of sentence for doing something wrong.

Sheesh, kids these days don’t know anything about history!
