# Gears of War: A great, game?  Or the best game ever?

Too bad I can’t play it in front of my kid, severely limiting my time on it. Even with the “hardcore content” off, it’s startlingly violent. I finally beat the campaign a few days ago, and realized that I hadn’t even bothered to finish Halo 2 yet.

I have a pretty short video game attention span.

Halo 2 blows anyway, wait for Halo 3, which hopefully won’t blow. Or go the safe route and play Halo 1.

And Gears is pretty fun, particularly in co-op.

I can’t call Gears of War the best game ever, but I still love it. It was the sole reason I got XBox live.

Gears is a damned good game. The graphics are very pretty.

Halo 2 doesn’t blow! It’s a great game. Why, beating it on Legendary is probably my biggest video game achievement ever!

Second would be beating Gears on Insane.

I’m not as big a fan of Gears as others are, though. I like it and all, but I’m just not rabid about it. The second one should be very nice, though. Playing online is a pain. Host shotgun is the most powerful weapon in the game, that’s for damned sure.
