(Of course, I’m also the guy who still insists that computer literacy should mean being able to program in a currently useful language, not just use a product someone else makes.) I probably would have been better off excepting IT positions, but I didn’t think of it. And it’s still interesting for me to see how the question has been interpreted. ---

Of course you may add commentary! And if you’re praising **ShibbOleth** for mentioning RPN calculators, don’t forget that **sinjin** did so, too! (and, yes, I am going to factor out calculators and RPN calculators as two different categories of answer.) BTW, **Galena** , I thought that RPN was a mathematics term, rather than a slur on anyone. ---

And yes, RPN is a perfectly valid term developed by a very forward (or backward, as the case may be..hehe…) thinking Polish mathematician. But young, impressionable students with their TI-83’s tend to think you’re making a pollock joke when you first mention it. Of course, they never ask to borrow your calculator again. ---
