I almost said “rock” band, but I don’t think I’ll limit it like that, although my tastes are pretty much exclusively rock roll/pop kind of stuff. Anyway, I’ve been into **The Hives** lately, and those guys are pretty damn geeky, although it seems they _try_ to be geeky. **Weezer** is another candidate, they seem more like your average nerd. Nominations? ---

Yeah, Früvous was great. Any band that does a song about entropy deserves to be on this list. And they were an incredible live band. **Tracy** , I know you’re in Oregon and they didn’t tour out west very often; did you ever get to see them in person? In the summer of '95 (give or take a year), at the Moore Theater in Seattle, The Presidents of the United States of America opened for They Might Be Giants. That was a good show. ---
