One look at his picture was enough to convince me that is not a disaster for my cultural life. If you need to paint yourself like a failed clown to draw attention to your “art”, that says to me enough about the quality of the product. About dogs in Muslim societies. The clown-painted “musician” seems to have a lot to say about something he has quite obviously not even one clue about. I would not like to feed and shelter the countrless Muslims on this globe who believe that a dog is unclean. 2. Hence those countless Muslims wont even let a dog enter their house. 3. Hence those countless Muslims certainly don’t feel much for doing with dogs what the painted clown gives as such a good contrast to what women receive from those countrless Muslims. Yes, it can be seen on daily-life streets at some daily-life locations. I never asked myself as to why that is. Now that you come to ask about it, I can with my fast functioning one-cell brain imagine some reasons: 1. Taliban Lunatic locations. We all know how women are seen there. 2. Culture intertwined with Islamic teachings in typical patriarchal orientated societies. The man must not only provide for everything his household needs. He is also responsible for everything regarding safety and protection. Women sees her husband, brother, father, other male relative in that light. The men are considered to “take the heat” in crowded streets. I don’t think there is much “oppression” involved in that. It is a cultural infested habit. Can of course come across as the opposite in Western eyes. Now that I come to think of it: I never saw one women in my family taking half a step backwards when I show up. They also usually are out of the door first. I also tend to loose them when we go shopping (only one for example where I am supposed to follow them) and must then wait until they choose to show up again. Loaded with things I didn’t tell them to buy. I must be a Very Bad Muslim. _It can also be of course that I don’t provoke much respect… This thought is a torture… Sure is going to keep me awake tonight._ Salaam. A _Off now to the task of the daily beatings… Already sweating, although I only watch it be done. Or what do you think._ ---

Just a guess, but I figure that the people who are ranting against Gene Simmons’ comments are the same folk who thought Marlyn Manson was so clever and intellectual in the movie _Bowling for Columbine_. So, everyone has the right to their opinion, and I’d say Gene Simmons has a few accurate comments in there, mabye not so eloquently put however. 99% of the terrorist are lslamic extremists and women clearly don’t have the same rights as men in that part of the world. Interesting that they had to get a quote from the _Australian_ muslim of the year, who by the way grew up in [Australia](http://tinyurl.com/3y6f4) . Of course she doesn’t “walk behind her husband” - I think Gene was referring to Muslim women in the Middle East. Oh, the outrage! Sheesh. Powers ---
