1. No, I only know a few high spots in classical by number, eg. Beethoven’s Fifth
2. Once I heard it after checking YouTube, sure, I know the melody and could hum the next few notes.
3. Depends on the context when you ask, and the tone you use when asking. Is it okay to check in and see if folks recognize some cultural thing? Sure.

My exposure to classical music runs in fits and starte, I go through a limerance for it, then go on to another genre.
