Audiobooks are a great invention but definitely not for me. Also, some of us get our, ah, “life changing reading” from stories (novels, biographies), others from essays. The OP is the second type, I’m the first. Again something in which knowing which type of person you are is extremely important, as it can save you the frustration of trying to apply to yourself a model which does not fit. ---

When my son was six or so, I cautioned him against pissing into the wind. He was shocked that I’d “said a bad word”. Apparently pee is ok, but piss is profane (to a six year old). ---

My stars! This topic reminds me of a television program I saw once, starring a famous doctor named Philips MacGraw who goes by the nickname “Dr. Phil.” Have you heard of him? He is friends with Oprah Windfrey, who many of you may have heard of. She also has a TV show that is quite well known. On one episode, she told the audience to look under their seats, and when they did they found a gift! Maybe you could send a letter to Dr. Phil with your advice lessons, and who knows, he might mention you on his TV program. Who knows? 🙂 ---
