Let me take a…crack, at it.

1. Impotence.
2. True- I think. But he gets stopped by that scary angel guy.
3. The one with the car in the side of the cliff?
4. Impotence.
5. Leena, or something…
6. It has only two rooms? It’s kind of shabby in comparision with Belle Reve? (I haven’t seen the movie but i have read the play so this should be right.)
7. (What, you’re afraid of 7?) Talk?

I haven’t seen any of these movies, btw, so if I do well, heh…all the better. 😛

1. Nope. It’s his mother.
2. Gotcha! No, he doesn’t commit suicide! That’s why Clarence was there. Clarence jumped off, and hollered for help. George took off his coat and dived into the icy water to pull Clarence out. (You’re not the first to fall nto this trap!) :)😃
3. It was the one with the hapless trucker (Jerry Reed, I believe), and a bunch of bikers who rough him up and steal his lunch in a roadside diner. He pays and leaves–and runs his rig over six motorcycles! (See _The Baby Train_ by Jan Harold Brunvand for details.)
4. Impotence? No! Edgar Kennedy, who played a lemonade vendor bested by Harpo and Chico in _Duck Soup._ 😃
5. _Weena._
6. He never smiled. (He spoke in _Around the World in 80 Days,_ for one.)

That’s about it, Zoggie. I read the play too–in a college course. And the professor had us watch the movie.
Here’s question 7:
7. What actor appeared in _It’s a Wonderful Life, Mighty Joe Young_ (1949), and the TV series _Petticoat Junction?_

Correction: Buster Keaton DID smile and laugh in a couple of his movies (notably “Fatty in Coney Island”).

1. In “The Bank Dick,” W.C. Fields co-starred with what member of a famous comedy team?
2. In Woody Allen’s “Bananas,” what actor, later to be a major star, had a bit part as a punk in the subway?
3. Name the only actor who appeared in five films in his lifetime, every one of which was nominated for a best picture Academy Award.
4. Name the studio excutive of whom it was said, “the whole world was wired into his ass.”
5. What was “Rosebud” in “Citizen Kane” named for.
6. What was the only non-honorary Oscar won by Charlie Chaplin?

Just coming in to do some sweeping up in the OP . . .

1. What Hal Roach actor appeared in a Marx Brothers movie?
Edgar Kennedy, perhaps, but also Thelma Todd. Several times.

2. What did Buster Keaton never do in the movies?
Sorry. Buster not only smiled, but actually laughed, in one of his first movies, “Fatty at Coney Island” (1917).

23 - I think his name is John Cassals or something … he played Fredo in _Godfather 1 and 2_. And he was Al Pacino’s exitable partner in _Dog Day Afternoon_, as well as Bob DeNiro’s hunting buddy in _The Deer Hunter_. What was the fifth film?

1. A sled.

Those are the only ones for which I have even the slightest clue.

ThisYearsGirl, you’re right. 🙂
24. I think that was Harry Cohn, of Columbia. (I once read that when he died in 1958, thousands of people came to his funeral–ostensibly to make sure he was dead. (Red Skelton was quoted as commenting, “Give the people what they want and they’ll come to see it, every time.”)
About _The Sting_–Oops, I’m sorry. I meant, where the movie was _set,_ not necessarily where it was _made._ :o
27. What supporting actor from the Three Stooges shorts was a judge in the court-martial scene in _The Caine Mutiny?_ (You have to look close to see him.)
28. In _War of the Worlds_ (c. 1953), what kind of vehicle was the hero’s girlfriend driving when people were fleeing Los Angeles because of the Martin attack?
29. Why did Bette Davis turn down the part of Scarlett O’Hara in _Gone with the Wind?_
30. In _Witness for the Prosecution,_ Charles Laughton’s last movie, what special mechanical device did his character have installed in his home?
31. In _Time Bandits_ (1982), what 60s movie idol played the Devil?
32. In the animated feature _Lady and the Tramp_ (about 1958, I think), how does Tramp redeem himself to Jim Dear and Darling?
