> Get over the number. You’re never gonna get the same answer twice. It is too variable. Concentrate on what qualities you like in masculinity. Or femininity. Which ever one appeals to you. You can’t compare apples and oranges. It won’t work.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just count the number of categories at an average gay fetish site?

This is a recurring theme with you - your lack of male role model. It may be a bit late given your age (16), but perhaps there is a Big Brother program available to you that would provide you with an appropriate role model. Also, when you’re a little older, perhaps consider looking into joining the [Peace Corps](https://www.peacecorps.gov/volunteer/). Given your stated interest in geography and different cultures, this may be right up your alley.

I don’t think you’re being honest. With us, or yourself.

I doubt anyone here has experienced anyone asking so much about masculinity (in so many ways, in so many threads). You need to ask yourself why this is so important to you.

The down side to something being SO important to you is that it’s not as important to anyone else. If some of the responses here seem snarky, keep in mind that it’s just people (who figured out their own “masculinity” years ago) running out of patience.

That’s a bindlestiff.

I also left out:

Tramps

The difference is that hobos work when they can. Tramps will work if they are forced to. Bums don’t work at all.

OK, so some men (such as myself) are nerds. And I’d say that nerdity is a large part of my identity, in that, if you asked me to describe myself, the first thing I’d say is “I’m a nerd”. So does that make nerds a “masculine culture”?

But not all nerds are male. There are female nerds, too, and their culture is basically the same as that of male nerds. So if nerdity is a masculine culture, does that mean that those woman are part of a masculine culture? Or does the existence of female nerds mean that nerdity is not a masculine culture? Or do we say that “male nerds” is a masculine culture but “female nerds” isn’t, even though the cultures of male and female nerds are basically the same?

The simplest approach is to just be yourself, and not worry whether what you are is masculine, feminine, or other.

This is like a big downside of being 2 nationalities at once

Well if you want a big ass confession sorrouding my feeling of insecurity towards my masculinity, here will go something

WARNING: The confession you are about to be given may sound rude, ignorant and even racist for that matter.
So, I am lucky I even come from a Latin American background, if I was born here in the US, I think my insecurities would be much worse. I am basically a light-skin latino to some. Anyways, now my urges to re-embrace my Latin American side are stronger than ever. Now to explain why that it is, I know not all white American dudes are like this, but I feel like the more I keep acknowledging that I am not even brown, maroon, etc for that matter, the more I just get insecure about it.

Why is that? Because now I see that a lot of white guys are the most insecure ethnic group out there[At least here in America], now most just get called betas, white knights, cucks, nerds, neckbeard, micropenis holders, etc.

But I don’t blame them, I blame the social engineering going on

Is like if I get the feeling I am associated with white American dudes, boom the insecurity feel goes along the way

And my urges to go to a tanning booth are incredibly strong, but I won’t be going anytime soon.
What I am doing to work on my insecurities? I for one am exercising, trying to look for more responsibilities, accept that not everyone is perfect I guess, get more brave with my risks, etc.
And yes I admit myself that I even view darker skinned man more naturally masculine, not sure why, but I am sure interception of color can go in there with the explanation.
That’s not to say I always think of that as the main image of white men, for gosh sake’s my dad of Mexico is even whiter than me and I view him pretty masculine for most standards[He works as a personal trainer]

And I had sweaty palms as I typed this.
Yes, is mostly this generation of white men that goes along the image. Because back in the day I am sure as shit I wouldn’t be saying this. When people like David Beckham and Arnold Schwarzenegger are still alive, you got pretty much still good images of white men out there.

But a kid this generation would most likely think of Logan Paul or Justin Beiber for that matter.

The people that call men who aren’t macho assholes “betas” and “cucks” and “white knights” are garbage. They are some of the lowest, most worthless scum on the planet. We have told you this before. This is why I am trying to ditch politics and social issues for good.
I also agree you shouldn’t have to be overly masculine either to qualify as a man. But the standards are quite changing.

Yes, the urges to act ghetto are extreme for me because being from Latin America just doesn’t do it for me let alone that I am about as white as George Zimmerman.
