# Generic and General Winter Weather Whine

I have lived for 40 years in the Chicago area, and I am still not happy with this weather business. I see no reason whatsoever why it must be cold, wet and windy all at the same damn time. My swimming pool is full of snow. I haven’t been really warm since September. I hate snow, I hate it hate it hate it. Ice sucks. I hate winter clothes. I look funny in a hat. That salt stuff I throw on the sidewalk to melt the ice kills the grass, and besides, it makes my hands itch. I want to eat a ripe tomato. Snowmen are sexist symbols (OK, I just made that one up.) I am sick of drinking tea, hot cider, coffee and hot cocoa. I want iced tea. I want ice cream and I don’t want to have the shivers for two hours afterward. I wanna have sex without my socks on.
I WANT IT TO BE SUMMER. NOW!

They’re predicting below-zero temps later this week yet I still refuse to complain because of an [article](http://www.citypages.com/databank/25/1253/article12751.asp) I read a few weeks ago.

Trust me, I know how you feel. Up on the hills, they got two inches of snow, and I almost had to put on a jacket this morning!
