# Genetic ancestry testing

Anybody have experience with one of these sites?

Mr. Boozilu has a birthday coming up, and has hinted that he would like to find out more about his ancestry through a DNA testing company. I’ve done some research and it looks like [23andMe.com](http://23andMe.com) could be the best bet, but the price is steep ($400+). [Ancestry.com](http://Ancestry.com) claims to do it for $99, but I have an inherent distrust for super-low prices.

We’re not looking to find out if he’s got a gene for some disease, just ancestry.
