If it makes the OP feel any better, in the Newfoundland dialect of English (and possibly elsewhere) junk can mean a short log, about a foot or so in length, used for firewood. Therefore when one refers to one’s junk where I live, you can claim it to be 12 inches long and stiff. You might want to avoid open flames, but that just stands to reason anyway. 😃 ---
