Well, well. Today’s shaping up to be real purty. No kill, and a very interesting development on my end. I have a partial claim to make, which will likely be followed by a full one. I am an investigative role and last night I investigated **Pleonast** , which I would think would surprise exactly no-one. I got a very incriminating result. Before I make my claim, I’d like to give **Pleonast** the opportunity to claim his role ahead of time, and let everyone decide if the claim holds water against the contents of my investigation. At that time I will also divulge my role as well as my investigation results from Night One, so that everyone can judge for themselves. So, **Pleonast** : 'splain yourself. ---

I think that day one vote count needs to be broken down to votes-in-order. As it stands it’s impossible to tell who was in danger at any given time. Give me a few, I’ll do it; if it’s not useful now it might be at some point. ---

Day Two shows very little action - gnarly racked up 6 votes in pretty quick succession, with only Astral and TexCat getting even 1 vote in that time. Given that he was CARS, ALE didn’t have to do very much after that to get themselves the desired result. Certainly there were no other serious contenders for the vote lead. (Pleo came closest, getting it to 5-3 at post 791.) One thing that stands out is that compared to Day One, there were far fewer unvotes on Day Two. This is due to gnarly giving no-one any reason to unvote him, but will also reflect the ALE team’s happiness with the result. By contrast, Day One was full of incident. A brief summary: Phase 1: Astral takes an early lead. Astral makes his post (131) about CARS being part of ALE. Votes quickly follow: Post 207: Astral is 6 votes up - nil to all others. Post 237: Astral drops to 3 as Stanislaus, Normal Phase and Tom Scud unvote. Astral claimed detective in 230, hence Normal and Tom’s unvotes. I had already unvoted in 211. Post 327: Astral is back up to 6. Special Ed, gnarly and Silver Jan vote post-claim. gnarly and Ed have 1 vote each. Phase 2: Competition from SisterC Post 398: Astral 6; Pleo 2; SisterC 0. (Winston and fluid are the Pleo voters, both for the soft claim.) Post 414: Astral 6; Pleo 2; SisterC 3. pedescribe, Weedy and Hirka have in quick succession brought SisterC into second place. Post 428: Astral 5; Pleo 2; SisterC 3. Silver Jan unvotes Astral. Post 451: Astral 5; Pleo 2; SisterC 4. Astral makes an acknowledged self-preservation vote. Post 466: Astral 6; Pleo 2; SisterC 4. Tom Scud, Special Ed, Silver Jan and Weedy vote for fubs, tieing him with Pleo in second. All of these are based on nesta’s case. Post 635: Astral 7; Pleo 4; fubs 7. Hirka creates a tie, unvoting Pleo to do so. Says the case on fubs is better than the case on Astral. Post 641: Astral 6; Pleo 5; fubs 7. fubs unvotes Astral (636) then votes Pleo (641). Acknowledges he’s putting himself in the lead. Post 645: Astral 5; Pleo 5; fubs 8. TexCat unvotes Astral and votes fubs, missing out some important changes since nesta made his case. Her post-claim vote on Astral (327) came right behind two now-known townies doing the same thing (Ed and gnarly) – a nice comfy spot for scum to be almost regardless of Astral’s own alignment. Second, if fluid’s information means what she seems to think it means, then Jan’s vote for fubbles in 623 was well-timed. Weedy’s votes are also good for Pleo, though I had been leaning town on her on content alone. If there was a move to save (a scummy) Astral as opposed to one to get him lynched, it’s well-disguised. TexCat is the only one that sort of fits: 3rd vote on him, then unvoting him in favor of fubbleskag very late. I would like to hear Hirka discuss his day one votes, particularly his 635 unvote of Pleo moving him from 2 to 3 votes from the vote lead (and tying fubbles with Astral); coupled with his 649 revote of Pleo that put Pleo back within 1 of the lead behind fubbles and ahead of Astral. The most striking thing about the bandwagon on SisC (which maxed out at 4 votes with Pleonast’s 530, never quite amounting to a real challenge to Astral’s lead) is how easily it evaporated again. But the motives are not easy to untangle: pedescribe replaced the vote with what I think was a better one on Pleonast Hirka did the 4x vote Pleo stuff, which is just weird Astral thought better of self-preservation Pleonast moved to fubbleskag instead (with the smudge that pedescribe pointed out) ---

Had also spoken out against lynching Astral right away. Hirka was all over the map. He made 5 votes on Day One. The fact that his tieing vote also pushed Pleo back down may become interesting depending on what fluid has to say. However, he then undid this in post 649, once fubs was in the lead. Again, assuming that fluid has a good lead on Pleo, the rush to fubs by Tom Scud, Weedy, and Silver Jan will need to be looked at as possibly defensive. ---

Also, you haven’t claimed at all, Pleo. If you want to say you refuse on the basis of what fluid has to say, then do so, but an implication that you are a town power role is not a claim. ---
