I’m ambidextrous if it’s just holding. For “detail work” I mostly stick with my dominant right hand but I’m not entirely monogamous. Of course I’m semi-European when it comes to eating. As long as the knife is likely to be required again in the near future the fork stays in the left. It’s only when the knife isn’t going to be necessary anytime soon that I do the swap for better control. Outside of things I fork with I’m not very ambidextrous. ---

I’m born and raised American, but if I have to cut my food with my right hand, the fork stays in my left hand and delivers the cut piece to my mouth. I’ve heard about this swapping hands business, and it makes no sense to me. I’ve stabbed my food with my left hand and cut it with my right hand … swapping the fork to my right hand seems horribly inefficient. And I hate inefficiency. Which is probably why I’m still holding my own dick. ---
