Gaudere’s Law?
I thought that was first to compare to Nazi’s loses. So Gaudere’s is accusations of mistakes? In any event I’m now qualified to write for Newsweek.
If you point out a mistake, you’ll commit the same mistake while doing so. Usually applied to spelling.
If you didn’t know who George Will was, you would probably enjoy being aquianted with William F. Buckley.
I enjoyed the interview on Colbert, although I wish Stephen had asked him the obvious question… if conservatives favor “liberty” over “equality”, why aren’t they in favor of legalized gay marriage, pot, prostitution, etc.
I like this quote from Will: “Football combines the two worst things about America: it is violence punctuated by committee meetings.”
That’s about all I like about him, although I will grant that he is classier and more respectable than most right-wing bloviators these days.
(That’s “Godwin’s”)
Guadere’s Law is that people correcting others for grammar, spelling, etc, will make such a mistake themselves when they point it out.
I have to second your opinion of Newsweek - I’ve been getting it for free for the last year and I’m actually pondering cancelling the free subscription as a waste of paper.
