GH has revealed that he has terminal cancer and expects to die soon. He is 58 years old. This is just… devastating. Hang in there George! We’re praying for you. ---

Strange, there’s no mention of the story on the BBC website. I know he was recently treated for a brain tumour and before that lung cancer (and before that he was stabbed by an intruder at his house). If it’s true then that’s even sadder; he’s not had much luck in the last year or two. ---

I always thought George had the most kick-ass room in the magical Beatle mansion in “Yellow Submarine”. Here’s hopes for a miraculous remission, and thanks for your part in the music. If your passage through the dark waters must be soon, may it be quick and easy. You done good. ---

I don’t know how I’d react to the same news if it were me. He’s taking it very well. I’d probably go insane from depression. He is very inspiring to me right now. ---

I was immediately suspicious when it hit the news- All the reports said that he’d told George Martin he was dying soon. Well, George Martin is a class act, and I couldn’t imagine him blabbing to the tabloids, it just isn’t done. ---

There was areport on the BBC including an interview with Harrison about 2 or 3 weeks ago. He mentioned that he was receiving treatment in a Swiss clinic for cancer, although I’m not sure exactly what kind. Hasn’t he had throat cancer before? [Just so that no one is under the impression that I have any non-fighting ingnorance interest in this topic, I hate the beatles and all their music. Once a scouser always a scouser.] ---

Well, other than the lung cancer and the brain tumor and being stabbed in the lung, he’s fit as a fiddle.
