When George and 'nem did their 2 (what? CD’s? Tapes?) performances as **The Traveling Wilburys** did he know he had cancer and is that why I hear such a spirited voice on the songs **End of The Line** and **Headed For The Light**?

I miss George and Roy, by the way. Y’all too?

No, it’s not about his illness. (Doesn’t _everybody_ have a song called End of the Line? ;)) The first Traveling Wilburys album is 15 years old. The cancer was just in the last couple of years of his life.

I ran across this review [**HERE**](http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&uid=9:18:34%7CPM&sql=X833019) for **“End Of The Line”** that might be of interest.

Few albums turned out as perfectly as Wilburys Vol 1.

I remember reading comments by Tom Petty and the others in _Rolling Stone_, after Roy’s death, talking about starting the band, and all of them being giddy as kids at the thought of having Roy in the band. Damn, they all sounded good together. Wish they could have put out more albums.
