I don’t know about up in Oregon, but here in my little California town there have been several protests that have shut down damn near the entire town. Thousands have risen up across the country and the issue grows larger each day.

So, I’m aware that it’s popular to hate Bush around these parts, but isn’t it a bit silly to say that this is nontopical? I mean, this IS a big issue right now. Yes, we’re in a war. Yes, there are a million other Administration-related scandals. But how the fuck was this an off topic, untimely speech?

Just because it’s been in the news doesn’t make it any more of a “timely” response. It’s not like it was a huge secret that our border was so unguarded and so many illegal immigrants were coming in. Absolutely nothing has happened recently to make it more of an important issue, other than the bill pending in Congress and the May 1 Protest. Absolutely nothing.

You may be pretty sure, but you are wrong. The FBI regularly hires former military personnel, including tankers. For some reason they tend to get a lot of marines around here, though…
