# Gerald's Game - Is There A Movie?

I ask in [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=85826&pagenumber=1)thread whether anybody sees a movie which commences with a guy attaching a doll to a bed, using handcuffs for this purpose, whereupon the guy has a heart attack, and dies, and the doll is left alone with a serious problem.

**Elfkin477** comes back with _Stephen King_’s novel of _Gerald’s Game_, which fits the story, but **Elfkin477** also says she thinks there is no movie.

Now, I never read _Gerald’s Game_, and I never commence reading any book without it gets finished some time, unless the book is _Moby Dick_, or anything by _Ayn Rand_, so I am sure I see a movie of this.

I check with Google but nothing comes up, and I am wondering if _Gerald’s Game_ is ever filmed under a different title.

Of course, there is a chance I make a mistake, but something tells me I see a movie of this story, or a similar one, and we will see what else happens on this thread.

**Arden Ranger** , I am a daffy guy.

When I say I hear no bells, what I really mean is I hear very loud bells, as this is certainly the _story_ I am talking about, but I am sure I _see_ this story on a screen and I do not _read_ it in a book.
