Royalty history is one of my favorite subjects. 😃  
(BTW, did you know that the last [Tsar of Bulgaria](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsar_Simeon_II) later ran for and was elected Prime Minister?  
(To be fair, he was only six years old when he came to the throne, so Bulgaria was ruled by a regent, and the monarchy was abolished then within three years.)
