But it’s a mixed blessing, since they know that now they’ll get all kinds of junk mail offering them time-share wars and second, vacation wars, now that their credit rating has gone up. ---

They’ll have a hard time reselling it. I heard the war is in a neighborhood with no HOA and Poland leaves rusted-out appliances in its yard. ---

Hmmm… the OP link says Hitler reneged on the payments. Just think about how many millions of lives would have been spared had England and France simply foreclosed on Germany. ---
