Williams Pinball Classics on the Xbox360 (and other consoles) is really excellent, Gorgar plays extremely well. Sorcerer is a firm favourite as well but I was sad that Comet was not included.
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned (IMO) the two major pinball simulators for PCs, Visual Pinball and Future Pinball. If anybody remembers the old Electronic Arts Pinball Construction Set, imagine that on steroids. Both have quite a few tables available.
Note that neither can play newer games, and by “newer”, I mean “pretty much anything made after 1990”, but there is an “expansion” to Visual Pinball called VPinMAME that lets you play newer ones. (However, this requires you to download each game’s ROM chip (and you are “supposed to” only download ROMs for games where you already own them), and the newest games - I think anything from Family Guy on - won’t be available because of a change in the way Stern makes ROMs available.)
