McDonald’s actually has offered bratwurst sandwiches–“For a Limited Time Only” deal, selling Johnsonville brats. At least twice. Around here, anyway. ---

Well, if everyone and his uncle wasn’t suing McD’s for the fat they fry their once delicious fries in, maybe they wouldn’t have considered litigation as a reasonable source of income. But, yea its stupid. And I miss their old fries. And them atomic hot apple pies fresh from the fryer… sigh… ---

I can’t remember the exact names, but I was in Panama for a couple of days two months ago and was surprised that I saw a couple of adverts on TV with business names that bore a strinking resemblance to some international brands. But it is common in all Latin America. Here we have a Corte Fiel, the name and lettering look exactly like the ubiquitous Spanish Corte Inglés. We also have a Blooming’s that looks a bit too much like Bloomingdale’s ---

I have been looking unsuccessfully for a cite, but I recall a case back in the 70s where the Vidal Sasson hair care empire successfully sued the hell out of a poor hair salon owner whose own name happened to be either Sasson or Sassoon.
