I wonder if the posters here actually dump people out of _their_ lives as quickly and as fancy-free as they recommend everybody else do it. I highly highly doubt it. There can be great reasons for keeping someone around who ocassionally annoys you, and fucking fabulous reasons to keep someone around whose _brother_ ocassionally annoys you. For fuck’s sake, this person might be the love of Dale’s life, who he’s been with for 10 or more years of bliss for all we know. Yet “THROW THEIR ASSES TO THE CURB!” rings out like I knew it would as soon as I read the OP. Now, _that being said_ . . . I cannot extoll enough the benefits of finding someone whose family you genuinely love and enjoy. If my wife sent me a text saying her brother (or any other member of her family) was staying with us for a week, I would consider it a pleasant surprise. ---
