# Get Smart question

I saw Get Smart this evening. Acording to TVLand it was episode 118. I have one question: When Max pulled up in front of the Control building, was that an Opal GT he was driving?

ISTR him driving an Opal GT (I always called them “baby Corvettes” back then); but it was a long time ago, so I am quite foggy on it.

I always thought it was strange how Max started out drivng a [Sunbeam Tiger](http://www.tigersunited.com/) - one of the screamingest British sports cars ever made (they crammed a Ford 260 V-8 into that thing!!!), then got downgraded to a Kharman-Ghia in later seasons. In the last season he got the Opal GT, which wasn’t a whole lot faster than the VW. It must have been the result of product placement deals.
