I actually have two “opportunities” coming to test these theories, but I don’t see one I like yet! \*\* jnglmassiv\*\*, I occasionally use a similar technique, but it’s really a last-ditch effort kind of thing and I wouldn’t call the results spectacular. As for the bacon thing, even if I wasn’t a vegetarian, I just can’t bring myself to put a wad of grease on my poor swollen clogged up face! ---

I use liquid antiperspirant, which is anti-bacterial and dries up things. It really works. Just rub it in. ---

I have this totally cool product I bought at Walmart. Its called a blackhead remover. (I call it my zit squincher.) Its a metal bar with a little round hole in each end. Just stick that sucker over the zit, press, and you’re done! I bought it in the nail care section. It was on a little red and black card and I think its made by Revlon. ---

While those are good, for most zitz I prefer the blackhead remover made by Tweezerman. I find that I am less likely to get scarring if I pop them. Hubby had zits that must be popped. Wonderful man! They are especially bountiful at the moment after a long period with them under control. Hot compresses do help remove the pain and make the pimple pop. I also have had good luck with biore pore strips removingsurface gunk so the deeper pimples pop easier. ---

Slightly off topic, but what the hell… In one of Lemony Snicket’s earlier Series of Unfortunate Events books, he is defining some word, possibly “perspective”, and he gives the example of a person with a huge pimple looking into the mirror and saying to themselves, “At least I’m not being eaten by a bear.” So that is my mantra for today. Not being eaten by a bear, not being eaten by a bear… It’s not working very well! ---

Got any good ideas for clearing up blackheads? I have passed the pimple stage and am now entering the blackhead stage. I’ll squeeze 'em, get the cheese to come out, but they just come back. They’re not fun like zits so I’d rather just have them gone. Any ideas for prevention, too. ---

Just a note to let my adoring public know: Apparently the 25 pointer was the end of the pimple. The next day it looked even worse, and I thought I had pushed part of the pocket really deep, but the next it started peeling, and now I’ve taken a layer of skin from across the top. I don’t know why it does that, but I’m sure everyone here recognizes that as a sign of its healing. So we didn’t get a real test of the bacon idea.
