Every time I try to use Chrome (Google) I’m getting this error message. \*Your connection is not private Attackers might be trying to steal your information from [www.youtube.com](http://www.youtube.com) (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).\* It won’t let me go any further or search for answers. Any ideas how to resolve this? ---

It’s fine. I can click links, but can’t use Chrome for anything else. Frustrating. ---

Could be. 5 year old laptop. I tried it in IE and it gave me a similar message. Can’t use the internet at all unless it’s a clickable link. ---

This is an SSL error, commonly caused a bad CMOS battery that causes the system’s internal time to be wrong (and this can sometimes be different from the time Windows displays). It could also be malware. It might be worth trying to change your laptop’s CMOS battery (it’s basically like a fat watch battery). If you don’t know how and can’t access Google, you can use [Bing.com](http://Bing.com) to search over an unecrypted connection. And/or check out the stickied thread about dealing with malware. ---

Thanks. Probably time for a new computer. Unfortunately, I can’t search the internet for one now. I’ll check on the CMOS battery first thpough. Thanks again
