Primary hard drive died; currently trying to reconstruct my iTunes library from the backup I made of the “iTunes Music” subfolder. “Add Folder to Library” doesn’t work. What will?

Thanks in advance (and wondering where Apple gets its rep for superior user experience),

The music files are in My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Music on my computer. What about selecting that folder for the “Add Folder to Library” command? Or, have a look in the help for iTunes. It says you can drag the folder to the iTunes window.

The music files aren’t in that location anymore (my C:\ drive isn’t big enough; had to redirect the library to a larger backup drive), but after further experimentation, “Add File to Library” seemed to work, though “Add Folder to Library” strangely didn’t.

So I think I’m OK now. Thanks for the reply.
