Sometimes when I’m tense, I’ll do a big yawn after which my jaw tightens up for less than a minute. I try to avoid yawning since I’ve had past experience with this happening to me. Is there any danger that the lockjaw is permanent and is there any way to avoid it other than avoiding yawning?
