**BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!** Am I the only one who loves it when **Kalley** does her stand up comic routine? Or is it the fact that nothing can be too juvenile for me not to laugh, giggle or \ at it? I didn’t get me no Backyard Burger yesterday. ACBG had to work late so I went home and heated me up some left over roast, carrots and smashed taters. Then I drank several beers and did some drunk posting on another message board. I am trying to spare the Dope from a whole lot of my drunk posts. It’s a mercy thing. I’m gonna get me my Backyard Burger tonight even if I have to go all by myself. I got me a craving for one. ---

It starts with an ‘M’, everyone else, so whenever the teachers use to start to say “Mmm” I would raise my hand and say “Here! It’s me” and give them my nickname. And the nickname was even worse, back then. Since Flamsterette\_X always puts birthday greetings in Chinese, I’ll add it in Hindi: **Janam din mubarak hai!** Literal translation: “Congratulations on your birthday!” ---

And just _who_ are you calling a **ho**?!?! :eek: 😃 See, **swampy** , you’re not the only one who can indulge in junior high school humor… Yes, I’m back. It was fun. Today was MammoDay! I got squished - FOUR TIMES! For those who never have or never will experience the, um, joy that is a mammogram, it’s done twice per chestal protrusion - once squooshing from top down, and once squooshing from the side. I honestly don’t know what’s worse - if you’re amply endowed, they’ve gotta squooooooosh really hard to get what you got as compressed as possible. But if you’re flat-chested, there’s not a whole lot to get squooshed in the first place. I vaguely recall seeing something in the news some years back about someone researching a device that would slip on like a bra, no squooshing required, and it would take the necessary images to detect potential bad stuff. I asked the tech about it and she looked at me like I was crazy. I don’t think I dreamed it up, but if I did, I think I should patent that dream and get to work inventing it. I’ll make a fortune, and win the gratitude and adulation of women the world over. Not that I’d do it for adulation. I’m all about helping out. Because I’m nice. I think we’ve covered that already… ---

Oh yeah, something else I was thinking about, regarding the whole name thing (speaking of the OP) - the first name of the man from whom we bought our house is Swepson. His wife called him Swep. I googled it and there’s someone else whose first name is [Swepson](http://www.alibris.com/search/books/author/Earle,%20Swepson) and he wrotebooks about the Chesapeake Bay, which is pretty much just down the road from me. So I’m wondering if it’s a local name. I’m also wondering what would possess a new mother to look at her precious baby nursing at her breast and say: “Swepson. My boy looks like a Swepson.” Ah, a mother’s love… ---

Ever since you mentioned the name Tatiana, I’ve had this voice in my head - it sounds like an ice skating or gymnastics commentator - and they are talking about a skater named Tatiana. It’s a real memory (I’m pretty sure) - so there is an athlete out there named Tatiana. I also did a google search on Tatiana - one of the links on the first page looks…interesting. Susan ---

**Kalley,** I don’t mean to brag about how slow I am, but it took me about 5 readings until I got the “current” one. When I was in Swaziland, I would often have kids in my class named after key events. (When you have polygamous households, I guess all the good names get taken.) My two favorites were Potatoes (a good crop year) and Passport (the year his dad got a passport for a trip). ---

I went to a luncheon yesterday and had absolutely THE best chocolate cake I’ve ever had. It was worth sitting through a rather dull speech for that. Then I had company for dinner and they brought apple crisp. Yum! Good dessert day yesterday. Actually an all-around good food day: I made a steak thing in the crock pot and it was really good. Now today’s leftovers day. Yum! There are lots of unusual names in my family, but no really terrible ones. Great-grandparents on one side were Josephine and Constance, although he went by Gus… that’s not so good. I think there was a great-grandmother Mina too. I don’t know the rest of the great grandparents’ names. Grandparents Fred & Vera and Sherman (Ben) & Jean. Nothing truly terrible among them. My parents wanted an unusual name for me so they picked one out of a baby name book. I like it, but once I left the really rural hicktown where I grew up and met some Indian students at college, it wasn’t so unusual any more. People who learns my name online or on the phone tend to think I’m Indian and are suprised to meet a white girl. I think I mentioned in another thread that I even got a couple samples of magazines for Indian-American women. Oh, well. It’s a great name though! ---
