I’m looking for a good version of Gibbon’s: Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Something not abridged with plenty of maps and illustrations and further explanations etc. I read The Landmark Thucydides : A Comprehensive Guide to the Peloponnesian War by Robert B. Strassler, which I thought was excellent. Does there exist such a book on Gibbon’s Decline and Fall?
