Wasn’t Neverwinter Nights 3rd edition? The 2nd(ish) edition Baldur’s Gate would probably actually be closer to 5e rules than 3rd was, at least for the parts visible to the player (since you don’t need to worry about the dice math on a computer game).
3 or 3.5, I don’t remember which. This is obviously where I show my lack of knowledge about 5.
