I need to get some thank you gifts for a couple of Army sergeants in North Carolina. I was wondering in general is there something that those in the military would especially like. Gift certificate from restaurant? Liquor? A Kindle? itunes gift card? Other?

I like to give restaurant certificates, either to a place you know the recipient really likes or a place they’d like to try. Liquor is only good if you know what the person prefers. Tech-y gifts may or may not be appreciated - personally, I wouldn’t know what to do with an iTunes gift card, but I am old and grouchy, so there’s that…

I think the safest guideline for gifts to military folks - avoid big things that are tough to store and/or move.
