OK, I watched the trailer. And yes, it does NOT look like a good movie. But it doesn’t look actively bad, you know? Some movies seem to work at being bad, like the above-mentioned “Freddy Got Fingered”. “Gigli” looks simply passively bad, not actively bad.

Don’t be too sure there, **Dooku**. That review was written by Mick “Stupidest Man in Movie Reviewing History” LeSalle. If he gave _Gigli_ that bad a rating, it can only mean one of two things: it’s one of the worst movies ever made, so bad that even LeSalle can tell it sucks. Or, it’s actually pretty good. The weight of critical opinion seems to favor the former theory, though.

Slight hijack here, but I found the NY Times [review](http://www.nytimes.com/2001/04/20/arts/20FRED.html?ex=1059883200&en=b5af5fad2b284902&ei=5070) of _Freddy Got Fingered_ so provocative that on several occasions I’ve come _this close_ to watching it:

It bothers me a little when people say this about Chasing Amy… Kevin Smith wrote it based on something that actually happened. There is no deeper message really, it’s just a story.

When he (along with the whole of the audience) asks “What?”, she replies: “Come on, gobble, gobble!”
