I’ll rent it, but not buy it. I’ve been dying to see it since I heard the savage reviews, but wasn’t willing to pony up to see it in the theater. ---

I really should think all thoughts through, before hitting ‘submit’. More seriously, it might end up making money for the producers. I remember when Waterworld first came out. The most expensive movie ever, a trainwreck, reviews where abyssmal, the studio on the brink of bankruptcy ASF. It ended up showing a profit, largely from video sales and rentals. I guess quite a lot of people had this morbid curiosity to see the train wreck. ---

Since then, I’ve not been able to intentionally see a movie with bad reviews for fear of more suffering. ---

I just checked–the library has it and I’ll be there tonight, trolling for Grade A crap to watch to make me laugh–or put me to sleep–either outcome works for me. Times like this I really miss MST3K. ---

I am surprised they’re even releasing it. But I’m sure it’ll be some cult classic bad-movie in 20 years or so like _Cleopatra_, _Ishtar_ or (more along the lines of) _Manos: The Hands of Fate_. ---
