You all know that **Weirddave** and I are getting married this July. Some of you have expressed interest in attending, and we appreciate this. The time has come for us to send out invitations, which I hope to complete this weekend at the latest. I can not do this if I don’t have snail mail addresses. So, if you would be so kind to email us at our wedding stuff address at ginger\_and\_dave at [hotmail.com](http://hotmail.com), we will happily send you an invite. Thanks a bunch. Please, _please_ email before Friday if you wish to attend. Otherwise, I will not have the address and then can’t send the invitation, then the monkey butler will not let you in the door. ---

I won’t be attending either **Ginger** , but as one who has already taken a spouse from the Republic to the South, just let me add my congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals. Just don’t be surprised if they insist on showing the French side of the labels out on the kitchen shelves because “it seems more exotic and foreign.” I keep telling my wife that “creme de champignons” is still just ordinary cream of mushroom soup, no matter which side of the label is showing. 🙂 Seriously, congratulations, and all best wishes! ---

The only way I’d go would be if I brought 'Dave a picture of a Star Destroyer blasting the crap out of the Enterprise as a gift… and if I did that, he’d kill me, and I’m sure you wouldn’t want SPOOFE blood all over the reception area. So I’ll play it safe and stay home. ---

Are you guys registered anywhere? If you aren’t, do it. It takes some of the guesswork out of it for those of us who’d like to give you something. And these days, you can register practically _anywhere_ - a wedding registry doesn’t necessarily mean fine china and stuff nowadays. You can register at places like Target or Home Depot - maybe or maybe not those particular places, but places like 'em. And it means that you get a lot fewer “WTF were they _thinking_ of?!” presents from relatives and your more deranged friends. (Although they can make _great_ conversation pieces, so maybe that isn’t such a strong argument. :)) ---
