> Not a very common name, but my grandfather was Francis, after St. Francis. All the younger Fran’s I’ve met have been female.

Francis must have been quite common; after all “Frank” was usually a nick for it.

> The name Kelly came up the other day because a friend was surprised to see that a Facebook app called her name a male name. There are probably still men named Kelly, but none under forty or fifty.

Untrue, my 16 year old son’s middle name is Kelly.

(He’s named after his grandfather’s last name - and my maiden last name - and his first name is his great-grandfather’s last name, because his grandfather is adopted and didn’t take his father’s last name. Thus, he is Austin Kelly \<Lastname\>.)

I’ll add Skyler/Skylar/Skyla.

I knew it as a boy’s name spelled Schuyler.

Im pregnant now and we (me and the father) find out the sex 2 weeks from today =]
If its a girl, she will be Harley~Quinn.
If its a boy, Dorian, unless he’s born on my father’s birthday, then he will have my fathers name, James.
I have definitely noticed cross using of names lately.

And it better be spelled with a tilde too. Hyphens are so passé.

I have now run across two girls named Cody. Well, one is actually Codie and the other one goes by Cody Jo so people will stop thinking she’s a boy.
