> Infectiously Cute Plush Microbes!
>
> Most folks never realize how cute microbes can be when expanded 1,000,000 times and then fashioned into cuddly plush. Until now, that is. Keep one on your desktop to remind yourself that there is an “invisible” universe out there filled with very small things that can do incredible damage to much bigger things. Then go and wash your hands. Lather, rinse, repeat.

> Each 5-7 inch plush microbe comes with a instructional card that includes an actual picture of the microbe along with information about the microbe in its natural environment.

There was a recent thread of this, but there are some new things I found:

Not pictured yet: HIV! Wired magazine reported that this guy was just released, but before anyone complains, it seems AIDS sufferers demanded the fella.

And this site has some funny images of the germs in action:

A beer lover!

Actually, they are. I gave a set to my gf last year and they come in remarkably handy. We keep them in appropriate spots–cold and plague near the kitchen sink, shigella and salmonella guard the tp in the closet, there’s an _H. pylori_ in the medicine cabinent with the tums.

Intersting to hear about the HIV plushy. Seems sort of macabre, but I guess it’s one way to help address the issue.
