Hey you! Mother Nature! What? You tripping on acid? Inhale one too many polutants from Dow? This just your time of the month? What the hell is wrong with you? Look, I lived up in Wisconsin for four years. I can survive much worse than this. I also fully understand that this is _November_ and I should pretty much expect this, but… Three days ago, seventy two freaking hours ago, I was driving down the roads with my windows down and my sunroof open. Now? It’s 31 degrees outside! It’s hailing! There are icicles five inches in length that are hanging down my car’s bumper that weren’t there this morning! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr… ---

Nah, I’m back down in the land of Oz now. I’m just saying I’ve survived weeks of continuous negative degree weather. I’ve survived walking to classes while the frostbitable air whips off the lake and down your back. I’ve survived snowstorms so huge you have to wonder why on God’s white Earth they aren’t cancelling classes. So here I am, in the heart of the midwest, wondering why it dropped close to fifty degrees within a matter of days. I can survive it, I just don’t wanna. I’d rather complain. On a sadder note (sorry), the band whose song you are paraphrasing in the thread title, recently split up. Ben Folds Five, the band behind Song For The Dumped (the song in the thread title) and many other wonderful songs said they have had enough and are amicably going their separate ways. Ben has a solo song on the soundtrack to The Grinch called Lonely Christmas Eve. ---

Yeah, it is t-shirt, but it’s too freakin cold for a t-shirt, so I asked for a sweater. Maybe I need my parka back. Actually, it’s gotten a bit better recently. The wind stopped, which is always a plus. Cold weather I can handle, but I’ll rip that wind a new bellybutton if it keeps hassling me. [sub]bellybutton? WTF? Having lived 30 miles outside of Buffalo, NY until I was 18…the real phrase is “We have two season’s Winter and Fourth of July”, now I live in North Carolina and when everything closes because of like 3 inches I shake my head and laugh…that isn’t snow people, there is no reason for everything to shut down. ---

“North Carolina and when everything closes because of like 3 inches” South Carolina we don’t get 3 inches of snow, ever. So if snow falls and dissapears when it touches the ground school is let out. Though last year we had 2 inches and the first time ever ive seen the roads freeze over, about half the cars were out of control and quite a few wrecks happened. For some odd reason we have snow days when we are lucky to use any of them. :)Though it does feel kinda cold if your only wearing a T-shirt. ---

About an hour northwest of Pittsburgh it’s been snowing here. Not much, but enough to make you go, “NOOOO! Not yet! Wait until December!” It doesn’t stay on the ground, but it’s absolutely frigid here! At least I get to wear my new coat. 😃
