Color me surpised. Well, they stole 114,000 email addresses from Apple and AT&T, hijacked thousands of personal computers and used them to flood websites and IRC channels, spoofed major news outlets into running false stories about Israeli ties to the 9/11 attacks, took control of a US Presidential candidate’s website, to name a few. Their president is currently appealing convictions for identity theft and unauthorized access of computers. It wasn’t too farfetched to speculate they may have managed to crack a SDMB password, and all I knew was that the poster has been here 10 years without being banned. Now seeing his posting history I obviously don’t doubt that it could have been his own post. ---
