The tears are welling up in my eyes. I’m truly sorry for your loss **Czarcasm**. I’m also sorry for your cat. At this point in my life I don’t know what I’d do if I lost my Goalie. Thankfully he is a young 2 1/2. ---

☹ Sorry for your loss. I lost my first dog Topper almost 5 years ago, and I still feel sad about it. Gizmo lived to be an old dog, and it sounds like he went very peaceful, by his food and companion, lying on the cool floor. Sounds like the best way to go. It’s really hard to lose a pet, but he knows you loved him, and now you have a little dog watching over you. ---

It’s weird getting up in the middle of the night to let out the dog you no longer have. The cat has taken to following us around the house, and insists on sleeping on my stomach. We’re coping with it, though, and we thank all of you for your kind and thoughtful posts. ---

So sorry for your loss, **Czarcasm** , a Good Dog is such a wonderful friend and it is very hard when they leave us. I still miss my Good Dog, Dollar. I can see his resting place out of my window and it comforts me. ---
