Great episode. I didn’t guess that it would end with Rachel cheating but it’s definitely something she would do. ---

Heh - “Warm Body” - that’s too perfect. 😃 I didn’t like this episode much, either, mostly because of no Sue. At least the songs were better - less showtune-y (and I actually like “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina”). Rachel and Kurt really can sing! Rachel with the tape over her mouth was great, actually, in light of the fact that she didn’t stop talking at all with it on - could you be any drama-queenier? Her moments with Kurt were nice though. It was a little irritating how the Nude Erections were all, “Yay! We won!” afterwards; uh, you tied for first place in a group of three. That’s not exactly running away with it. You basically didn’t completely lose. Overall, a very patchy episode - I give it a C -. ---

I never noticed it before (but I’m sure someone has) but when the announcer presented them for their first number, “New Directions” really sounded like “Nude Erections”. And now I’ll never be able to unhear that. ---

[/QUOTE] He had a fairly large role in the “caught masturbating nude” episode but otherwise he hasn’t been on the show much this season. I wonder if the actor is doing some other project, because he’d have pulled the bus to Sectionals to get to be on stage with Rachel. I don’t know if it’s indicative of Ohio in general, but Lima has a large Jewish population for a midwestern city of 40,000 that’s not very close to any large cities; Rachel, Puck, and Jacob that we know of and presumably they aren’t the only Jewish kids in town and they all have parents. Of course altiverse Lima also has a really big mall, hugely funded community theater (it has it’s own big modern theater building), and an incredible music store for a city that size, yet the opening of Breadstix is a big deal. ---

I think there were some looks and eye-rolls in an early episode, but nothing actually voiced. I like it less than Hipsters or Vocal Adrenaline but better than The Warblers which sounds too Whiffenpoof wannabe. ---

Well, I’m another who thought Brit said “acting like an adult” but I agree that “a dolt” makes more sense. I like Brittany & Artie also. I’m glad to see they decided to give her some depth. Now, do we want them to do the same with Santana or just have her stay a total evil bitch? ---

I don’t think we want them to. At least not more than they have. She’s a good antagonist to Quinn and Rachel. She’s shown some flashes of personality that went beyond HLA/wanting to be top Cheerio/stealing boys. She wants more spotlight time, but most of them do. And she’s really good as an antagonistic bitch. I wish they’d get back to that “fix your ponytail” style cat fighting from the very start of the season. ---

I’ll have to go back and review the pilot, but the way I remember it Will came up with the New Directions name when he took over the glee club. He wanted to distance the new club from Sandy. I think there was a scene where he proudly told Terri or Emma or someone about the name he had come up with. ---

After mishearing Brittany pronouncing “a dolt” and hearing “adult”, I call upon younger ears to translate what she said to Kurt in the locker room when she was standing in the corner being all scared about the pressure of performing. She said something about believing someone was reading to her and stealing her jewelry, but I know that’s not right. Can someone help me out here? ---

That doesn’t even make sense. The joke is because “adultery” has the word “adult” in it so she thinks it meant acting like an adult. And just because the CC might have written it like that doesn’t mean that is what she said. I have seen some pretty awful CC translations at times. (One time the word “indictment” was written “on a yacht.”) ---

But why would she be upset at being adult like (and why would she think Artie had found out a secret if she thought he was saying she was an adult). She aid she thought adultery was being a dolt (adoltery). And he’d found out she did something stupid (losing the magic comb). ---
