So I see today Lisa Marie Presley will perform on the Ellen Degeneres show today. My first thought is “she’s still performing? I thought she stunk so bad she quit.” My curiosity goes to sickness as she does her rendition of Don Henley’s ‘Dirty Laundry’ and completely murders it. So badly I have to cringe several times thinking “what the hell is she doing? I like that song and she’s making it sound horrible.” So I come here and do a search and all I pull up is threads from 2003 where everyone seems to be in agreement that SHE SUCKS!! And now she’s back not only to make herself look bad but to destroy a classic Henley song. Get lost you biotch! ---

I wonder if anyone’s told Ellen that $cientologists believe that homosexuality is an “engram” that can be eliminated ( “cured”). If I were Ellen, I wouldn’t be giving any publicity to a piece of trash like her. ---

If she can testify against Michael Jackson in a way that hurts his defense, I’m okay with her. I wonder if she will be called as a witness? ---

When Oprah asked her about her marriage to Jacko, she replied, “Holy Mother of God, what was I thinking?” or something like that. Said that he was very manipulative, and could act completely normal when he felt like it. Said he had her completely snowed. Said she never personally witnessed any shenanigans with children. Priscilla Presley thought that he used Lisa Marie as a pawn. The “King of Pop” marries the daughter of the “King of Rock 'n Roll” sort of thing. Anyway, she sang “Dirty Laundry” on Oprah and I didn’t think it was terrible nor did I think it was great. I give her credit for not turning out like that other trust fund baby, Paris Hilton. ---

I don’t know about that - or are people here finally going to admit that “Liberal Hollywood” is a myth? She seems to have been raised to be kind of helpless. Some kind of rich girl disease, I guess, where everything is handed to you and you’re patted on the head a lot. I mean, seriously, with a name like Presley, did she really have to marry the King of Freaks to get a record deal? She could have bought a freaking record deal. Or financed her own album. Or you know, start playing clubs and sending out demos like everyone else does. Did she think she had to be signed before she could even perform in public? Very sad. ---

CNN article says her first album had “critical acclaim and solid commercial success”. Her “career” is kept alive by the “Scientology mafia” in Hollywood, who get her gigs on shows like that and float her name into the media every so often. Why doesn’t she go away? Because she is one of the cult’s trophy celebrities.
