ESPN has been mentioning it in various pieces since about Week 2. Tuesday Morning Quarterback or some other amusing quasi-football-related-column mentioned it _ages_ ago. I’m still trying to figure out who the hell spotted this… trend? ---

Had I known of the circumstances, I would have done it. I was willing to vote for Lieberman if I had to, despite the risk of internal hemorrage. These are desperate times, stern duty demands the fullest measure, drain the cup of wormwood and gall and chase it with a Coors, if stern duty demands! So I would have rooted for the …Green Bay team. If I had known. Which I didn’t. ---

As a bitterly disappointed Redskins fan, I would like to lash out with a giant fuck you to all the Kerry supporters who don’t care about football but were rooting for the Packers. I blame your collective thought waves for my team’s loss on Sunday. ---
