Which mountain? Do I have to climb it, or can we drive to the top. Itā€™s not going to be one of those treacherous jobbies that require a special transmission and heavy-duty brakes, I hope. Our AZ house is located at 5500-foot elevation. Is that high enough? I can really rest there! Being ā€œout in the middle of nowhereā€ is incredibly calming. Plus, we have a waterbed there. OMG, itā€™s like crawling into a cocoon! What was the topic again? ~VOW ---

Laughing is a better alternative than crying, isnā€™t it **Beck**? If your friends on the SDMB can make you laugh in times of troubles, isnā€™t that a good thing? Iā€™ve been here almost twenty years, and my SDMB friends have supported me through many personal crises. And theyā€™ve made me laugh while doing so. Iā€™ve supported them also, sometimes with serious and sage advice; other times, with a quip that I hope makes them laugh and brightens their day. Go rest high on that mountainā€¦ Reminds me that earlier this week while driving home, I drove past Mount Shasta. Usually itā€™s covered in clouds but this time you could see the summit. Daughter got married partway up a mountain. Wilderness, no signal, so dozens of 20-somethings with no phones out, it was great. BUT it was full of ā€¦ _people._ (I typed that with maximum disdain) The whole time that I was in a majestic temperate rain forest, I was inundated with friends and family that I was obligated to chat with. I couldnā€™t wait to get back to the big city, find an anonymous crowd and have time all to myself. So first day back I packed up my book bag and my noise-cancelling headphones, plopped myself in the window seat of a coffee joint, and watched a sea of people (NONE OF WHICH I KNEW) hurry by. Ah, isolation mode. Very therapeuticā€¦ ETA: Glad youā€™re better, Beck\*!\* ---
